The Abbey of Bec Hellouin

Was founded in 1035 by the knight Herlouin of Brionne and developed by its two disciples Lanfranc and Anselme. The Abbey prospered for several centuries before its sink in 19th century under the occupation of the cavalry and the army during the second world war.

Since the arrival of the Benedictine monks after the second world war, the Abbey found back its splendour and is now open every day for free visits.

Guided tours of 1 hour, all year except on Tuesdays (5€ / personn)
