Coeur De Lion is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Normandy region or as a stopover en route. Rouen, Honfleur and Deauville close by. Monet’s gardens, D Day landing beaches, abbeys and chateaus within easy reach. All room’s en suite, guest lounge, large mature gardens with pretty stream, private terrace for outdoor dining, we have free Wifi & private off road parking. Brionne and its area

The Canton of Brionne offers a diverse choice of walks and panoramic views along the river Risle. You absolutely have to go to Bec Hellouin, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, with it’s half-timbered houses, abbey and green road (cycle & walking paths).

Another MUST visit is Harcourt; where you will discover the Domain of Harcourt with it’s medieval castle and arboretum.

It is a pleasant and calming place with a focus on nature and the practice of green tourism and local heritage. It has numerous places to stay and a wide range of leisure activities.

In the old days Brionne belonged for many years to the families of Harcourt and Lorraine.
